This real-life adaptation of Tokaido is designed to transform our journey along Japan’s historic Tokaido Trail — from Tokyo to Kyoto — into an immersive travel game where each traveler participates in collecting memories like panoramas, cultural encounters, meals, souvenirs, and temple offerings as points. Just like the board game, the experience blends strategy and exploration, encouraging players to shape their journey through choices: savoring regional cuisine, capturing scenic views, engaging with local traditions, and discovering hidden gems. Friends and family play along at home by scoring daily images and suggesting experiences to try.
